- Register with iNARTE.
Registering with iNARTE costs US $65 per sitting, for up to three exam Elements per sitting.
The sitting time limit is four hours.
Example: For $65, you can register to take Elements 1, 3 and 8. You will have a maximum of 4 hours to complete all three exams.

OR Mail your Registration form and $65 (non-refundable) testing fee to iNARTE at

- iNARTE will coordinate your examination appointment.
Written confirmation of your exam appointment will be sent to you by mail.
- Plan to make your FCC exam appointment.
Examinations are usually held on weekdays. iNARTE's exam fee is non-refundable. Examinees that are scheduling their examination date directly with the Test Center must schedule the examination within 30 days from receipt of their authorization letter from iNARTE. Otherwise, rescheduling of an examination will require a new registration and payment of the $65 registration fee. A scheduled examination may be rescheduled ONE TIME without an additional charge by notification to iNARTE at least 7 business days prior to the examination. Rescheduling with less than 7 days notification requires that you pay an additional fee unless you can show undue hardship or extenuating circumstances beyond your control (subject to approval by iNARTE). Rescheduling of the exam must be done within 30 days.

- Bring an ID Be sure to bring at least one item of personal identification with a photo. (Drivers license or passport)
- Arrive for your exam promptly. Your appointment time and directions will be provided in your confirmation letter from iNARTE. If you have questions or
need directions, contact iNARTE.
- Items allowed at your exam. You may bring only your No. 2 pencil and a Non-programmable calculator into the exam room.
NO programmable or printing calculators, books or other reference material, radios or cameras are allowed in the exam room.
You may write in your test booklet or use clean scratch paper.
- Time limit The examination time limit is 4 (four) hours.

- iNARTE will notify you of your test scores by mail within 10 business days.
Can't wait? Call iNARTE for your test scores at 1-800-89-NARTE.
- If you pass your exam(s), iNARTE will file for your FCC License and it will be sent to you from the FCC in about 15 business days.
OR If iNARTE cannot file for you, we will mail you the appropriate PPC Certificate(s) with the forms you need and instructions.
- If you do not pass all the required exams, iNARTE will advise you with follow-on instructions for future testing.
Note: you receive credit for each exam Element passed. For example: if you pass Element 1, but not Element 3, you need to retest only for Element 3.
- Need to examine again? There is no mandatory waiting period before you can re-test. As soon as you are ready to test again, contact iNARTE to register.
